Update our Town Center

Believe it or not our Town Center is twenty years old and in need of being updated and renovated. Our Town Center is “At Risk” due to neighboring cities revamping their Town Centers and malls – Laguna Niguel is developing the Agora Project (a downtown arts district, being built on the old Court house site), Laguna Hills is renovating their mall and the Irvine Spectrum continues to grow in leaps and bounds. I would like to see the City continue to push for the following:

  1. Update the overall Town Center with upgraded stores with a larger variety of goods and services.
  2. Incorporate more outside people places with stronger landscape amenities to encourage people to stay longer and spend more money (a basic retail principle).
  3. Look at incorporating some housing and additional office space to make it more active throughout the day.
